Abstract: This article reports on a pilot study and is part of a presentation from the Information Seeking in Context conference in 2008. The proposed mixed-method research analyses the information searching and seeking behaviour of undergraduate nursing students using Foster's non-linear model as a base for questionnaire development (to analyse information seeking preferences). In addition the research assesses personality traits, self-efficacy and learning styles of the students. The small pilot study (15 students) had been undertaken to aid questionnaire development. At the time of publication data collection is ongoing.
